Data science methodologies selection with hierarchical analytical process and personal construction theory

The amount of data currently available for Strategic Decision Making is substantial; which is why Data Science find itself in apogee in various areas where it can be applied. Expertise respecting the areas’ methodologies is fundamental; which is why, the objective of this paper is to compare and ponder them, for which, Analytic Hierarchy Process, was utilized along with linguistic tags and Personal Construction Theory, with the purpose of establishing and prioritizing characteristics according to their degree of compliance in real validation cases. The sub-criteria were grouped in different levels, conforming a hierarchy for the present problem. The validation case consisted in determining causes for breakdowns in new automobiles as they are being transported from the factory to the concessionaires; in which the proposed model proved useful and MoProPEI could be identified as the most adequate methodology.XVI Workshop Bases de Datos y Minería de Datos.Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informátic

Procesos de explotación de información basados en sistemas inteligentes

En esta tesis se caracterizan los procesos de explotación de información asociados a los problemas de inteligencia de negocio: descubrimiento de reglas de comportamiento, descubrimiento de grupos, descubrimiento de atributos significativos (atributos importantes para el entorno de negocio que se aplica), descubrimiento de reglas de pertenencia a grupos y ponderación de reglas de comportamiento o de pertenencia a grupos. Se identifican las tecnologías de sistemas inteligentes que pueden utilizarse para los procesos caracterizados, validando estos procesos a través de casos aceptados por la comunidad internacional. Se proponen las funcionalidades de un ambiente de explotación de información que integra las tecnologías identificadas. Este ambiente administra en forma unificada los distintos procesos explotación de información que requieren las tecnologías referenciadas.This PhD thesis proposes a characterization of data mining processes associated to the following business intelligence problems: behavior rules discovering, group discovering, significant attributes discovering, group belonging rules discovering, behavior rules and group belonging rules weighting. The intelligent systems technologies that may be used in the characterized data mining processes are identified. Processes are validated through cases of study accepted by international community. Data mining environment functionalities which integrates the intelligent systems technology identified is proposed. This environment is able to manage in unified way the different data mining process that uses the technologies previously referenced.Facultad de Informátic

Knowledge, use and appropriation of ICT for management and administration in the public university

El trabajo presenta una aproximación a los resultados de un estudio de caso desarrollado en la Universidad Nacional de Río Negro. El estudio tiene el interés por el “saber, uso y apropiación de las TIC para la gestión y administración universitaria por parte de los no-docentes en la Universidad Nacional de Río Negro-Sede Andina”. A partir de los datos obtenidos mediante un amplio trabajo de campo, este estudio buscó proporcionar información básica que permita diseñar acciones y estrategias sobre la apropiación de TIC en apoyo a la docencia y la gestión técnico-administrativa en las diversas áreas de la comunidad educativa. Educational Experiences in Informatics: Innovations in Internet Searches in Academic Environments

This paper presents innovative experiences in the way of teaching to search information of academic style in Internet to first year students, of the UNRN (Andina headquarters) where Informatics is a transversal topic to their careers. Since 2013 in the Workshop on Informatics a group of teachers inquiries about innovate the way how students make Internet information searches on the academic section, trying that they acquire the ability and the criteria to potentiate their searches, to value their results and to give meaning to the iterative cycle of conformation of correct search keywords, trying this to be useful in the development of their performance as students and later as professionals.
